Michael Neff-Young (Kroger 543)
Competes in Special Olympics

Michael Neff-Young has been an athlete since he was a young child, competing in bowling tournaments since he was 8 years old. His skill and competitive spirit have taken him all the way to the Special Olympics, where he won gold.

Michael started at Kroger 543 (Reynoldsburg) in December 2021. He is a Courtesy Clerk at the store. Customers know his friendly smile and helpfulness, but they may not realize that they are being assisted by multi-medalist at the Special Olympics.

He has been involved with Special Olympics for twelve years. Though he has also tried his hand at basketball and track and field, bowling has been where Michael’s exceptional skills really excelled.

Two men and two women were chosen to represent Ohio at the USA Games in Minnesota this year. Michael made the roster, and competed in Team, Singles, and Male Doubles Bowling at the event this past June. Michael medaled in each event.

In the Team and Male Doubles categories, Michael earned bronze medals. His performance in the Singles event earned him yet another gold!
